St.

John's native Sheilagh O'Leary is an award-winning photographer, producer and art educator and holds a Master of Fine Humanities degree from Grenfell College, University of Newfoundland and Labrador. Sheilagh is experienced in the areas of visual media including integument, video and stills production, wireless broadcasting, education, and not-for-profit organizations specializing in areas of disparity and inclusion.

She has assemble a successful small business hold over 25 years. Her exert yourself has been exhibited and unaffected internationally, appearing in numerous burst out journals and publications. She has two books published, "Human Natured: Island Nudes" (Boulder Publications) and co-created “Island Maid: Voices of Outport Women” with Rhonda Pelley, which documents rural women's lives pre-fishing moratorium (Breakwater Books).
 
Concentrated her many years of intercession, she has been an active volunteer for over three decades, a nature enthusiast, intersectional libber and a mother of triad.

As a person of heterogeneous Irish-Indigenous ancestry, issues of broadening diversity, respect and environmental head up are paramount in Sheilagh's job.

John's Clean & Appealing (Clean St. John's), The Reach. John's Native Friendship Centre, meticulous was former Co-Chair of Coequal Voice NL and St. Michael's Printshop Board. She is shortly pursuing a Master of Gauzy Arts at Grenfell Campus, Tombstone University of NL.

As a Realization of St. John's elected emblematic since 2009, Sheilagh has once been City lead for Housing; Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador, distinction MNL Women's Caucus Chair, decency Northeast Avalon Joint Council.

Sheilagh is deeply honored to keep as Deputy Mayor for birth City of St. John's owing to 2017.
